Who We Are

We are a Jewish community of full and part-time residents from diverse Jewish backgrounds and perspectives. Together, we've created an inclusive congregation where all can participate equally in Jewish rituals, Jewish education, and social action. Our Synagogue is an historic building in the hamlet of Chatham Center, but we also make use of the wider community, scheduling events at local cultural venues.

We believe in equality at the Bimah, in Torah study where questions and discussion are welcome, in maintaining the tradition of Hebrew as part of our service, and in the prerogative of people to find a personal relationship with Jewish heritage, culture, and spirituality.

Our synagogue is unaffiliated and our Shabbat services are member-led. Rabbi Or Rose, Director of the Center for Global Judaism at Hebrew College in Boston, joins us regularly during the year to conduct services, workshops, and our High Holiday services. Rabbi Rose also leads our Visiting Rabbi-Scholar program.

We believe in the importance of practicing Tikkun Olam through social action, community service programs, and interfaith engagement.

We have an active calendar of cultural and educational programs open to the community.
